About Found In The Grain
Found in the Grain was shaped by the mountains of Southern Oregon, where forests run deep and time moves a little slower. I’ve always been drawn to the quiet confidence of wood—its strength, texture, and the story recorded in every growth ring. Out here, you learn quickly that nothing worth keeping is rushed. Wood carries that lesson naturally.
In my workshop, I create custom laser-engraved wood pieces designed to honor memory, legacy, and meaning. These are not mass-produced objects. They are small-batch works that blend modern precision with a deep respect for the material—pieces meant to live in a space, hold significance, and endure.
Each piece is crafted with patience and purpose, ensuring your story stands the test of time.
Every project begins with carefully selected hardwood, chosen for character, grain, and longevity. Using advanced laser engraving, I carve detailed designs while preserving the natural integrity of the wood itself. The result is work that feels timeless and honest—revealing the story already written within the grain.
No two pieces are ever the same, and that individuality is intentional. Natural variations in grain and tone ensure that every piece is truly one of a kind. These are heirloom and memorial works, created to be lived with, remembered, and passed down.
The name Found in the Grain reflects what working with wood has taught me: patience, purpose, and focus. Wood demands respect for imperfection because that’s where character lives. My hope is that when you hold one of these pieces, you feel that care—and see your own story reflected in it.
